About ChobQuest

The Questionnaire
ChobQuest surveyed every one of the 1600 households in the parish of Chobham, and a further 100 households in adjacent parishes that regard Chobham as their local community, such as those in Scotts Grove Road and Mimbridge. An exceptional 68.1% of households responded to the questionnaire, which represents the most comprehensive survey of the village since the Domesday Book in 1086. Involving Children & Young People
In addition to the survey form, schoolchildren and young people were invited to become directly involved in ChobQuest. Local schools were given disposable cameras and the children were invited to take photographs of the things they liked and disliked about the village. The images that illustrate the Plan are the results of their work. A website was also built for the village youth to browse and feed back their views and aspirations for the facilities of relevance to them. This website is still viewable by clicking here (although the results are no longer logged).

Survey Highlights
After the data had been captured from the questionnaires, a summary of the result highlights was published as a pull-out section of the Parish Magazine. This can be viewed here.

The Parish Planning Process
At various stages through the project, the ChobQuest approach and experience were shared with other Parish Planning groups at workshops and seminars around Surrey . Two of these presentations used for these events provide an excellent overview of the materials used and how the Parish Plan was achieved. Click the images to the right to view them.
